Sifaki E. 2015. Gender Studies and Literature, Ellhnika Akadhmaika Syggrammata kai Voithimata

The book deals with the thematic investigation (but also the political dimension) of the theoretical approaches to the literary text that developed in the academic fields of feminist critique and gender studies, partially transforming the way we read literature. The feminist reader has always regarded the practice of reading a form of political activity. The book examines the evolution of feminist critique historically, culminating in contemporary theoretical elaborations in the context of gender studies, which examine the complex and painful ways in which a wide range of gendered subjectivities and sexual differences are historically shaped, in relation to political and social factors.
