Maria Vlachaki

Maria Vlachaki was born in Volos. She has got degrees in Pedagogy (Primary Education) and in History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology-Faculty of Humanities, University of Thessaly. She also attended the Interuniversity Postgraduate Programme “Museology”, School of Architecture and the Interuniversity Postgraduate Programme “Educational Psychology of Inclusion-Multiculturalism”, Department of Preschool Education, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is a doctoral student and her thesis is on the contemporary migration’s approach through the pedagogical use of life stories in the museum. She has worked as a teacher for several years both in the private and the public primary education and as a special collaborator in museum educational programmes. Her research interests concern Museum Education, especially the relation among School and Museum, Oral History in Museums, Museums and Difference.
